Annapolis Community Boating is looking for a few good volunteers and donors to help in our mission of making our sport accessible to more Anne Arundel County residents.

Starting with a series of free Sunday sailing days this spring and summer at City Dock, ACB is on the water welcoming novices and neophytes. The more help we get, the better we can do the job. We’re seeking folks with the skill to help in our “Taste of Sailing” events, to speak at clubs and schools, to run support boats during instructional sessions and to help us maintain a budding fleet of small boats. People with professional skills like fund-raising, organization and grant-writing are particularly welcome.

We’re still looking for a place to call home. Our goal is a waterfront site where we can keep boats and gear for the inexpensive or free use of interested people. We live in one of the great boating centers of the nation but most county residents lack a means to enjoy it.

We are a registered nonprofit, so donations are tax deductible; 100 per cent of our resources go to the mission. Our boats are all loaned, donated or rented at bargain prices.
