After the resounding success of its spring FreeSails, Annapolis Community Boating is extending the program to 2010. Noon Sunday sessions at the National Sailing Hall of Fame on City Dock resume April 18th and will extend into September.

The FreeSails are ACB’s bid to open the doors to boating to everyone in the region. We offer four-hour sessions with basic instruction, then three hours on the water with instructors. The program started in 2009 and was booked through the year, with over 450 people attending..

FreeSails are not aimed at any particular group. We’ve had kids, grandmothers, families, single parents, soldiers from Ft. Meade, an ex-NFL football player, two Croatian researchers from Johns Hopkins. The only thing they have in common is an interest in boats and the water but little or no experience or access..

Email info@annapolisboating.org to sign up for attending a session. To complete registration we need (Name, Address, Phone, Email) for each participant over 18. Name and age for participants under 18. Open dates are listed below.
